Vessel Info:

Rubicon Intrepid was a single-sided floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel with a hydrocarbon production facility designed to receive well fluids, separate and stabilise the produced crude and store the stabilised crude in the FPSO’s cargo tanks, and treat and discharge the produced water. Electrical power systems on-board utilise the produced gas as a supplementary fuel for topsides and marine systems power, with the surplus gas being flared.

A tandem mooring system and floating hose arrangement facilitates crude cargo transfers to customer tankers.

Converted to an FPSO in 2007/8, Rubicon Intrepid was on-station at the Galoc Field, offshore the Philippines at SC14C, Northwest Palawan.

Rubicon Intrepid was initially deployed in October 2008 and was upgraded in 2012 with an external turret mooring system which connects to the sea bed via a multiple leg mooring spread. Risers and umbilicals from the subsea production systems connect through the turret to a fluid transfer swivel for 360° passive weathervaning.
