Vessel Info:
Front Puffin was a single-sided floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel with a hydrocarbon production facility designed to receive well fluids, separate and stabilise the produced crude and store the stabilised crude in the FPSO's cargo tanks, treat and discharge the produced water and compress the produced gas for gas lift, with the balance of the gas being flared.
Front Puffin is equipped with an APL designed disconnectable Submerged Turret Production (STP) mooring system which connects to the sea bed via a submerged buoy and multiple leg mooring spread. Risers and umbilicals from the subsea production systems connect through the buoy to a turret and fluid transfer swivel for 360° passive weathervaning.
A tandem offtake mooring system and floating hose arrangement enables crude transfer to customer tankers.
Converted to an FPSO in 2006/7, Front Puffin was on-station at the Aje Field, offshore Nigeria.
